Tagum City Parole and Probation Office invites CCRO Tagum to discuss Civil Registration Laws

As the Office of the City Civil Registrar continuously brings civil registry services closer to Tagumenyos, Acting City Civil Registrar Editha G. McCartney graced the invitation of Tagum City Parole and Probation Office to give lecture about Civil Registration Laws and related concerns of the probationers and parolees, collectively called as “Kapamilyas”, held at Pagbabago Hall, Center for Justice and Transformation, 2nd Floor, Old SP Building, Tagum City on February 13, 2024.

Among the topics that Ms. McCartney discussed in her lecture were the following:

1. Importance of Birth Certificate;

2. PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Program (PBRAP);

3. Legitimation (RA 9858)

4. Affidavit to Use the Surname of the Father (RA 9255);

5. Simulated Birth Rectification Act (RA 11222); and

6. Other Concerns related to Birth and Marriage Certificates

Through this event, the Office has helped the “Kapamilyas” on how to possess the necessary civil registry documents which they could use when opportunities knock their doors.
