PSA DavNor opens the 34th Civil Registration Month

Aiming to intensify awareness on the importance of civil registration to Filipinos they serve, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao del Norte Provincial Statistical Office and the Davao del Norte League of Local Civil Registrars commenced the celebration of “34th Civil Registration Month” with a Motorcade around the major thoroughfares of Tagum City on February 6 at 8:30 AM. Thereafter, an Opening Program was held at AVR 4, Tagum City Hall.

The celebration was highlighted through the conduct of a “Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Quiz Bee” which was participated in by personnel of eleven (11) members of the league and from the PSA. The activity principally aimed to abreast the knowledge of these personnel on various civil registration laws, their governing rules, and manuals of instructions to ensure effective and efficient delivery of their respective duties and responsibilities as implementers of civil registration laws. After the quiz bee, the winners were hailed:

Champion : Ms. Liza Marie Acosta (LCRO Talaingod)

First Runner-Up : Ms. Jovelyn Duallo-Cabahug (CCRO Tagum)

Second Runners-Up: Ms. Angie Rose Ancla and Mr. Jaypee M. Varon (PSA Davao del Norte)

For two (2) consecutive years, the Office of the City Civil Registrar of Tagum is honored to host the commencement and culmination of the civil registration month celebrations of Davao del Norte.
