CCRO Tagum conducts Conference for School Registrars and Records In-Charge
To address the issues and problems related to the unregistered birth certificates of pupils and students, the Office of the City Civil Registrar initiated a conference for the School Registrars and Records In-Charge from public and private elementary and high schools in Tagum City.
This initiative also serves as an avenue to update its school partners and stakeholders regarding the recent Civil Registry laws that would be useful to both the office and the schools and their common clients, and to provide remedies to various problems and concerns related to the birth certificates of pupils and students.
During the conference, the Office of the City Civil Registrar promoted the CCRO’s basic services and digital innovation, "eRehistro: Your Civil Registrar Online!" , which include online services such as: late registration of birth, application for marriage license, registration of death, “eRehistro: Batang Tagumenyo” , and “Maling Dokumento Mo, Iwasto Ko”, which can be accessed 24/7 at www.ccrotagum.com.
The office also enjoined the school registrars and records in-charge to encourage their pupils and students who belong to the Indigenous People, Muslim, and poorest of the poor sector to avail the PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP).
Among the agenda discussed in the said conference were the following:
1. Data Privacy Act (RA 10173)
2. Simulated Birth Rectification Act (RA 11222)
3. Domestic Administrative Adoption and Alternative Child Care Act (RA 11642)
4. Legitimation (RA 9858)
5. Affidavit to Use the Surname of the Father (RA 9255)
6. Petition for the Correction of Clerical Error / Change of First Name (RA 9048)
7. Petition for the Correction of Gender/Sex and Birth Date or Month in the Birth Certificate (RA 10172)
In an open forum, the Office addressed some civil-registry related inquiries and concerns raised by the school registrars and records in-charge.
