Orientation on Cybersecurity Awareness for CCRO Personnel Conducted Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT)

To equip the Office of the City Civil Registrar (CCRO) with important information on cybersecurity, especially now that the Office's latest digitalized innovations are in full swing, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) conducted an orientation on Cybersecurity Awareness today, May 24, 2023, at the CCRO Conference Room.

Engr. Octavio S. Guibelondo, Jr., DICT Davao del Norte Provincial Officer, along with Ms. Rowena M. Taojo, and Mr. Mark Dave Ponce from DICT discussed to the CCRO personnel headed by Ms. Editha G. McCartney, Acting City Civil Registrar, some important points on cyber threats and steps to prevent infiltration, including measures to avoid security threats, protect data and information, and practice proper social media use.

Also part of the orientation was the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI) that ensures secure electronic transactions and protects personal information.

The CCRO is grateful for DICT Team headed by Engr. Octavio S. Guibelondo, Jr., for the very useful and informative orientation to help improve our digital innovations and protect all digital civil regsitry documents.
