LCR Tagum Facilitated a Disaster Resilience Training for all of its Staff

Disaster preparedness training is an essential part of any emergency response plan. It helps to ensure that everyone is aware of what needs to be done in the event of a major incident and provides people with the skills and confidence to respond to a situation quickly and effectively.

To equip its personnel with the necessary disaster-response skills in times of emergency and hazards caused by natural calamities, the Office of the City Civil Registrar (CCRO) conducted an in-house Orientation and Training on Disaster Preparedness yesterday, March 20, 2023, until today, March 21, 2023.

Mr. Redentor D. Cardinal, LDRRM Officer IV and CCRO Safety Officer, discussed basic yet important steps when responding to certain disasters such as earthquake and fire, and taught the CCRO staff basic first-aid response and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) through actual hands-on demonstration.

Disaster preparedness training is essential to developing a comprehensive and effective emergency response plan. Ensuring that all staff understand the risks associated with different types of disasters and how to respond to them appropriately can mean the difference between life and death in a major incident.
