Tagum City's Civil Registrar and Muslim Affairs Offices met with the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Davao Regional Office for a consultative meeting

Aiming to properly implement the Civil Registration laws to Muslim Tagumenyos, City Civil Registrar's Office head Editha McCartney and City Muslim Affairs Office head Jeanylyn Lopez took the initiative in visiting the Regional Office of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) in Davao City last January 16, 2023.

The consultative visit yielded a favorable outcome as the NCMF Regional Director Arch. Sherrila P. Sawah committed to extend assistance by sending her team to Tagum City next month to conduct an orientation and processing of the Certification of Authority to Solemnize Marriage for Imams, Datus, and Ustads. 

The NCMF certification is one of the requirements set by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) for the granting of the Certificate of Registration of Authority to Solemnize Marriage (CRASM). 

Together with the City Muslim Affairs Office, the CCRO team extends our warmest THANK YOU to NCMF Davao Region for the big support in helping find permanent solutions to the Muslim civil registration problems in Tagum.
