First Simultaneous Orientation and Processing of CRASM by NCMF Region XI and PSA Davao del Norte conducted in Tagum City

To prioritize the civil registry needs of the Muslim Tagumenyos, the City Government of Tagum, through the Office of the City Civil Registrar (CCRO) and the Office of the City Muslim Affairs, initiated and facilitated the on-site synchronized registration of Certificate of Registration of Authority to Solemnize Marriage (CRASM) by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) headed by Mr. Pepito D. Amoyen, Chief Statistical Specialist, and the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) headed by Regional Director Arch. Sherrila P. Sawah today, February 16, 2023, at the City Hall.

The CCRO is also grateful for the support and assistance of the City Legal Office for extending their legal services in the notarization of the application for CRASM.

This initiative will address the issues and problems of Islam marriages in Tagum City by Imams who have no CRASM as they affect the identities and civil status of Muslim Tagumenyos.
