PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project Launched in Tagum City
In prioritizing unregistered members of the Indigenous Peoples, Muslim Filipinos, and poorest sector, the Philippine Statistics Authority and the City Government of Tagum inked a Memorandum of Agreement this morning, Sept. 19, 2022, for the implementation of PhilSys Birth Registration Assistance Project (PBRAP) in Tagum.
The said assistance project aims to intensify the civil registration of the unregistered births in the marginalized sectors thatโs aligned with the establishment of a single identification system for all Filipinos and resident aliens pursuant to the โPhilippine Identification System Actโ.
The PBRAP recipients will get a ๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ benefit for all its PSA and LGU fees and charges in the processing of birth certification.
This free of charge offering will last for a one (1) year period with a limited slots of 1,582 beneficiaries in a first come, first served basis.

Present at the MOA signing during the LGU flag raising ceremony at the City Hall Atrium were City Mayor Rey T. Uy, PSA Davao Del Norte Chief Statistical Specialist Pepito D. Amoyen, Acting City Civil Registrar Editha G. McCartney, City Councilors, City Tribal Chieftain Datu Simproso Gomez, and representatives from the Tagumenyo Muslim and IP communities.
