The Tagum City Federation of Barangay Tribal Council (TCFBTC) headed by City Tribal Chieftain Datu Simproso Gomez invited Acting Tagum City Civil Registrar Editha G. McCartney to discuss the Philsys Birth Registration Assistance Program (PBRAP) that will address civil registration problems and concerns among the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) in Tagum.

The office and the Federation both acknowledged the fact that some IPs who belonged to the disadvantaged and underprivileged families has difficulties in registering birth, marriage and death. The absence of these civil documents impedes some of the legal access to privileges and protection for the Tipanuds.

Emphasized in the meeting held last September 6, 2022, was making civil registry more accessible to the cultural communities thru the conduct of mobile registration and online civil registration using the newly launched Tagum City eRehistro.
